So at the end, GT PSP has no tuning, no career mode, a stupid way of buying cars and far too little opponents. I might buy GT7 just to drive Città die Aria, New York, Seoul Central and of course Costa di Amalfi once more.

There are so many legendary (fantasy) tracks in GT PSP which never made their way to the PS3 games! Which is sad, because some of them are absolutely fabulous and fluently to drive, especially with fast cars. Something else worth of mentioning are the tracks. Unless you're more than 2-3 seconds in the lead, you might get in trouble there. But if you push away the rubber band effect will make sure that the oppents will be MUCH quicker than you on the Döttinger Höhe straight (btw, that's the village where I grew up.). Why? Because as long as you know when to break and when to accelerate, the AI will trail you all the way to Nürburg within a second but won't have a real chance to overtake you. For example: When your're in the lead (S-Rank) on the Nordschleife, it is better to drive tactically "save and slowly" instead of pushing ahead.

It's too bad that the rubber band effect destroys a lot of the immersion. The AI on the other hand is actually really good, the other cars don't stick on their line and even try to overtake you on the outside of a corner if your're a little too slow (on S-Rank, that is). I HATE those! Because each and every car except the leader is nothing more than cannon fodder, an unnecessary obstacle on your way to the lead but - by principle (!) - not an "opponent" in terms of speed. While driving is as good as it can get, racing is a whole other issue. Driving cars (without aides) like the Ruf Yellow Bird and of course the TOM's Castrol Supra just makes a lot of fun. It is absolutely fluent and the cars feel exactly like you would expect it from a "Gran Turismo" game.
